Sie ist besonders in den Steppen Westsibiriens vom Ural bis in die Gouvernements Semipa1atinsk, Tomsk und Jenisseisk sehr verbreitet ( – die ersten Exemplare, welche ich als eine von P. opaca verschiedene Spezies erkannte, wurden von Turczaninow bei Krasnojarsk a. 1839 als ,,P. opaca” gesammelt – ). In Ostsibirien fehlt sie; dagegen dringt sie vom südlichen Ural aus in das östliche und süd1iche Ruß1and vor, in die Gouvernements Perm, Orenburg, Ufa, Kasan, Samara, Saratow. Kursk, kurz in all die südlichen Provinzen am Unterlauf des Dnjepr, des Don und der Wolga. Ihre westliclien und nördlichen Grenzen in Rußland sind noch genauer festzulegen. – Ferner findet sie sich – wieder auf asiatischem Gebiet – in den Ebenen nördlich vom Kaukasus zwischen dem Schwarzen und Kaspischen Meer, in Transkaukasien, russisch Armenien und Anatolien. In den letztgenannten Ländern steigt sie zuweilen in die subalpine Region hinauf”..
